Sluttrapport for prosjekt 766 - Penetrasjon i betong og fjell
Abstract
The activities within Project 766 – Penetration into concrete and rock are described. The main aim has been to establish
"state-of-the-art" methods for predicting the effect of precision guided missiles against hardened concrete and rock
targets.
Theoretical tools ranging from analytical formulas up to full 3D parallel computer simulations have been established.
A 30 mm laboratory powder gun has been designed, built and tested, and equipment for quasi-static material testing has
been installed.
It is noted that material models and numerical schemes for hydrocodes are more developed than the experimental
methods needed to produced relevant material data. In particular, methods, and hence data, for damage evolution in
plastic flow and strain rate dependence in tri-axial shear strength are lacking.
