Karakterisering av krutt til småkalibret ammunisjon
Abstract
Five different propellants for use in small calibre ammunitions delivered by different foreign producers have been
studied with regard to grain dimensions, burning characteristics and energy content.
All propellants studied have been tested in Closed Vessel and pressure measured as function of time until all propellant
has burned up. For all propellants different loading densities have been tested to be able to experimentally detennine the
propellant impetus. Theoretical impetus has in addition for four of the propellants been determined by use of
CHEETAR Finally, a comparison between experimentally found and theoretically calculated impetuses has been
carried out.
